State Representatives Brett Hillyer and Kevin Miller have introduced legislation to establish the Tuscarawas Valley Memorial Highway. The proposed bill designates a section of I-70 in Licking County, Ohio as the Tuscarawas Valley Memorial Highway, in memory of the victims of a tragic bus accident that occurred in November of last year.

"Our community was deeply impacted by the tragic accident that took place late last year, and we feel the loss of the victims every single day," expressed Hillyer. "The establishment of this highway is a small way to honor their lives and legacies for generations to come."

Miller also highlighted the strength of the Tusky Valley community and the importance of supporting the families and the community affected by the fatal crash. He stated, "There is no doubt that the Tusky Valley community is strong. This dedication is one way we can continue to show our support for the families and the community impacted by last year's fatal crash."

House Bill 380, introduced by Hillyer and Miller, is currently awaiting a committee assignment. Once passed, the Tuscarawas Valley Memorial Highway will serve as a lasting tribute to the victims of the bus accident, providing a constant reminder of their lives and the impact they made on the community.
